Nature
El Berguedà welcomes visitors, inviting them to enjoy an enchanting natural setting with recreation areas, springs, splendid viewpoints, refuges and nature centres.
Its richness and the existence of extensive, largely unspoilt areas, has led to the declaration of various protected areas. The largest and best-known is the Cadí Moixeró natural park, which includes areas of mountains such as El Cadí, the Pedraforca massif, El Moixeró, La Tosa d’Alp or El Puigllançada. It also includes natural areas such as Les Fonts del Llobregat, the source of the Llobregat river. This natural park is a fine representative of the landscapes, flora and fauna of the foothills of the Pyrenees. It features an excellent network of routes to try on foot, by bicycle or by car. At the offices in the village of Bagà it is possible to visit temporary and permanent exhibitions concerning the natural environment, culture, crafts and more.on el medio natural, con la cultura, con la artesanía... |

La
Patum de Berga
With origins dating back to the mid-14th century, this is a spectacular festival which is full of feeling, history, tradition, identity and fire. It is the most distinctive event of the Berguedà area, and is without doubt unique. It consists of a religious-historical representation of mythical and allegorical characters who dance to the beat of a large drum known as the Tabal, with music which reaches down to the depths of the soul and with the essential participation of the population. “Els Plens”, devils surrounded by fire, are among the festival’s most spectacular features.
It is a candidate for “masterpiece of world oral and intangible heritage”. |

Artigas Gardens
Designed in the early 20th century by the architect Antoni Gaudí, these show how architecture can blend in with natural features in perfect harmony. A stroll around this piece of decorated nature takes in springs, benches, balustrades and bridges over the Llobregat. |

Mining
Museum
Situated at the mining settlement of Sant Corneli, this centre is devoted to portraying coal mining in the Berguedà area. The museum consists of various spaces: the permanent exhibition rooms, a miner’s home from the 1940’s, the audiovisual room and 450 metres of the Sant Romà gallery, where a mining train enables visitors to see the inside of the mine as it was between the late 19th and late 20th centuries. Finally, visitors can stroll all around the mining settlement and its surroundings. |

Romanesque
This is the most important architectural style in the Berguedà area. It is worthwhile discovering this rich heritage by visiting the pre-Romanesque and Romanesque churches and old monasteries. Carefully restored and equipped buildings invite visitors to look around them. A legacy from the past, preserved for today. |
